With English crochet patterns, there are 2 types of crochet terminology: Standard US (American English) and Standard UK (British English). Both use slightly terms for the same type of stitch. Confusing, isn't it?
Sometimes it's hard to tell which terminology is used in a crochet pattern. A really easy way to see if the pattern is written in Standard US terms is to check for the single crochet stitch (sc). This stitch is only used in Standard US terminology.
Good to know: Studio Edie patterns are written in US Standard terminology. If you're used to another crochet terminology, you can look up the conversions here.
